Salvation Army Christmas Help
Families still in need of Christmas assistance for their children age 12 & under can receive help on December 20th from 1pm - 5 pm at our office on 320 Smithland Place. Must provide the follow to register: Gov't issued photo ID for Head of Household, Birth Certificates for all children being assisted, Custody paperwork if applicable, proof of income (food stamp eligibility letter, paycheck stub, etc.,) proof of residency.
No children are allowed at time of registration.

Twelfth Annual Feeding the Community On Thanksgiving Day
This is a free event where we partake in a Thanksgiving dinner with turkey and all the trimmings with our community. It’s the way Sam’s BBQ gives back each year. Thank you for supporting our business for 13 years, we love the community we serve. Come join us in fun, fellowship, and good food.
100 Black Men will be serving a Thanksgiving meal at the Salvation Army, 320 Smithland Pl & Troup St on November 17, 2018 from 10am until. Come and get your delicious free meal! Don’t be alone on a holiday.
The Valdosta Toys for Tots campaign has started. It officially opened on October 1. If you would like to apply for toys please go to https://valdosta-ga.toysfortots.org/local-coordinator-sites/lco-sites/default.aspx
You may also apply to become a drop site for toys or make a donation.
The campaign will run from October 1 - December 22.

K.I.N.G.S. United LLC is hosting a community event for Heritage Day 2018 on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10am. The event will be held at the Southside Recreation Center located at 604 S. Oak Street, Valdosta, GA 31601. There will be free entry, free breakfast for kids, workshops, and discussion about Black Panther History.
From the Desk of the COO - The last time I was at the May0r[s Council at the Turner, they had homeless and abuse shelters, emotional counseling agencies and they even had the fire dept. with "Fire Safety Awareness". They even had plenty of hot and cold sandwiches for the hungry.
It is worth your time to drop by and see what Lowndes Co. has to offer. Be sure to grab some free food while you're at it!
