Circles in Columbus is a city-wide initiative working to inspire and equip families and communities to resolve poverty and thrive. As a Chapter of Circles® USA, we follow a nationally proven and high-impact strategy to end poverty one family at a time through intentional relationships built across economic class lines.
Circles in Columbus is expanding by introducing this initiative into areas of greatest need in our community. We are partnering with Greater Beallwood Baptist Church and Amerigroup to host a Community Block Party in an effort to provide residents with information regarding resources available to low-income families. We are seeking service providers and community organizations to participate as vendors to share information about the services they provide to families of low-income.
The Community Block Party will be hosted at Greater Beallwood Baptist Church (4419 Sherwood Ave, Columbus, GA 31904) on June 3rd from 10am-1pm, with vendor set up at 9am. Each organization is asked to bring goodie bags or items to be used as raffle prizes as well as agency handouts/information printed in both English and Spanish. In addition, vendors will need to provide their own tables, chairs and other materials needed for set up as this will be an outdoor event.
This event will be free and open to the public. There will be food, fun, music, and giveaways for everyone to enjoy. We hope that you are able to join us as we work to end poverty in our community. To RSVP or for more information, please contact India Smith at 706-323-5518 or by email at Circles@ODCH.org. Please RSVP no later than May 30, 2017.
